PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) - Just as the Detroit Tigers’ winning streak in baseball ended yesterday, it looks as if the Ottawa County Fair’s winning weather ways will cease today. Fair conditions have been the norm for the 55th annual fair thus far, but thunderstorms ahead of cool temperatures are predicted through the early evening hours, and organizers are hoping that it won’t put that much of a damper on the planned festivities. It’s Seniors Day at the fair, with a variety of activities at the Community Stage from late morning through the afternoon hours, while the young and young at heart will be amused by the Shriners Clowns, with their traditional mini cars, circling around the grandstand area. The Big Rock amusement rides open at 3 PM, while Tonny Peterson’s Hell Drivers are featured in the Grandstand at 7 PM this evening. The six-day Ottawa County Fair ends tomorrow.
