UNDATED (WHTC) -- The American Red Cross is looking for donors. The need for blood normally increases in the summer as the number of donors usually decreases. Donations over the month of June decreased by about 10 percent which means they received 50-thousand fewer donations. While all blood types are needed, those with types O negative, B negative and A negative are especially encouraged to give. There will be three blood drives in Holland this week. Monday afternoon, the Northpoint Assembly of God on 152nd Avenue, Tuesday Holland Hospital will be accepting donations and if Friday is a better day for you to donate, you can go to Central Park Reformed Church on Myrtle Avenue. You can also go to redcross.org to find blood drives in your area.
