HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - One of two Holland men who was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash this past Wednesday has died from his injuries. The Kent County Medical Examiner's Office said on Saturday that 92-year-old Wilbur Schipper succumbed at Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital. He had been taken there after the collison at the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and 120th Avenue. Schipper was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by 95-year-old Ernest Voss, who apparently tried to turn left in front of an oncoming pickup truck that had a green light at the time. Voss was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment; the pickup driver, 27-year-old Benjamin Rouwhorst of West Olive, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
