WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) - In a report given to Ottawa County Commissioners yesterday, a 12-member task force presented both the pros and cons of abolishing the county’s Road Commission and having the overall board take over oversight of county roads. No recommendations either way were made in the document, which gave the current five-member Road Commission a satisfactory grade in operations, and was an enlightening experience for all involved, according to County Administrator Al Vanderberg. The task force spent a year in compiling this report. A decision on what direction the County Board may take is expected on August 13th
