UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Department of Natural Resources wants hunters to know that applications for fall turkey hunting licenses are now on sale through August 1st. There are almost 52-thousand licenses available. Eleven wild turkey management units are open to fall hunting during the September 15th through November 14th season, including most of the southern Lower Peninsula, Beaver Island, five counties in the northern Lower Peninsula and the entire U.P. Hunters can apply for a turkey hunting license at any authorized license agent, at DNR Operations Service Centers or online: Michigan.gov/huntdrawings Results will be posted online August 15th.
