Hope Sweeps Adrian; $5 Armed Robber Forces EMU Game at Ohio to be Postponed

UNDATED (WHTC) - Hope College swept a pair of games from Adrian College last night. At DeVos Fieldhouse, Nate Snuggerud scored 24 points as the Flying Dutchmen downed the visiting Bulldogs, 67-53. In Merillat Gym, Liz Ellis tossed in 14 points as the visiting Flying Dutch romped past the Lady Bulldogs, 75-29. On Saturday, while the Flying Dutch travel to Alma, the Flying Dutchmen host Albion in a game that will be on 92.7 The Van and http://927thevan.com/listen-live, beginning at 2:40 PM.

In state major college basketball last night: Michigan beat visiting Northwestern, 68-46; Western Michigan won at Miami of Ohio, 72-68; Central Michigan fell at Buffalo, 91-73; Detroit was victorious at Wright State, 83-76; and the Eastern Michigan at Ohio game was postponed until February 20th due to a campus lockdown, as an armed robber who had stolen five dollars from a woman at an off-campus apartment in Athens was still at large. This evening, Michigan State entertains Illinois.

High school boys’ basketball tonight has Black River scheduled to play at Providence Christian in a game that is being made up from Tuesday because Providence Christian had cancelled classes earlier in the day. Roy Hibbert’s 18-point, 11-rebound performance helped Indiana defeat the visiting Pistons last night, 98-79. Detroit is home to Cleveland tomorrow evening.

Nate Robinson scored 24 points as the Bulls won at Milwaukee last night, 104-88. Chicago plays the Nets in Brooklyn tomorrow evening.
