UNDATED (WHTC) - Courtney Kust scored 15 points and Megan Kelley added 14, as Hope's women downed visiting Albion on Saturday, 78-37. The Flying Dutch travel to Adrian on Wednesday evening.

Nate Snuggerud scored 24 points and Colton Overway added 20, as Hope's Flying Dutchmen won at Alma on Saturday night, 92-74. Adrian comes to DeVos Fieldhouse on Wednesday evening, with coverage on 92.7 The Van and 927thevan.com at 7:10 PM.

Grand Valley State's teams were swept out of the Matthaei Building in Detroit by Wayne State on Saturday. Ian Larkin scored 16 points with 12 rebounds as the Warriors beat the Lakers in the men's contest, 62-56. Talisha Bridges tallied 14 as WSU's women were also triumphant, 72-59,. GVSU is at Ferris State next Saturday night.

In state major college basketball on Saturday: Eastern Michigan stymied visiting Northern Illinois, 52-25; Western Michigan won at Central Michigan, 76-59; Detroit won at Loyola of Chicago, 75-63; and Oakland's Greg Kampe won his 500th game guiding the Pioneers/Golden Grizzlies in a 67-60 victory over visiting Western Illinois. On Sunday, Michigan State has a matinee at Indiana, while Michigan plays in the evening at Illinois.

Jonathan Toews' goal at the 6:35 mark of the third period stood as the decisive tally, as the Blackhawks ran their season-opening winning streak to five straight games with a 3-2 victory at Columbus on Saturday evening.
