DETROIT (WKZO) -- The economic impact of the state's University Research Corridor is in the billions.

According to a report compiled by East Lansing's Anderson Economic Group, the URC generated more than 15-billion dollars in 2011.  Additionally the partnership was responsible for more than 74-thousand direct and indirect jobs.

The URC is made up of Michigan State, Wayne State and the University of Michigan.
