Double the Home Winning Pleasure for Hope; GVSU Plays Two at Home Tonight


UNDATED (WHTC) - Hope College swept a pair of basketball games at DeVos Fieldhouse last night. In the opener, Courtney Kust had 14 points with 11 rebounds, as the Flying Dutch disposed of visiting Kalamazoo, 90-38. Ben Gardner’s 15 points in the nightcaps enabled the Flying Dutchmen to down visiting Trine, 76-61. Grand Valley State welcomes Saginaw Valley State to the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale this evening for a men’s/women’s doubleheader.

In state major college basketball last night, Western Michigan beat visiting Eastern Michigan, 63-59, while Central Michigan fell to visiting Northern Illinois, 74-61. This evening, Michigan hosts Purdue and Oakland is home to Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis.


The rescheduled high school boys and girls basketball games last night between Saugatuck and Martin, as well as Fennville and Bloomingdale, were postponed by inclement weather for a second straight evening.
