HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Old Man Winter has begun slugging as a heavyweight along the Lakeshore. Although just a Lake Effect Snow Advisory continues for Allegan and Ottawa counties through 7 AM Wednesday, the forecast of continued snow showers through the end of the week means that the initial predictions of up to a foot of snow from this past weekend may eventually be proven right. Cold temperatures compounded by winds that have driven chills to negative numbers have led to cautions about any extended exposure to the elements, and all public and private schools along the Lakeshore called their first snow day of the season, with no classes held. A break in the wintry weather may come by Saturday.
