ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A home burglary attempt yesterday morning that went awry led to one man’s finger being bit and a 21-year-old Holland man behind bars. More details may surface later today when Zachary Pitts is arraigned in Allegan District Court. He was arrested hours after the 10 AM incident at the residence on 40th Street in Overisel Township. According to authorities, Pitts allegedly had already broken into the vacant house when the homeowner’s brother came in and surprised him. A scuffle ensued, and the victim suffered a minor bite wound to a finger, but was able to write down the suspect’s getaway vehicle’s license plate number.
