Hot in the midst of Oscar nominations buzz, Les Miserables has scored another nod. Thursday morning, the musical drama was first nominated for eight Academy Awards in categories including Best Picture and Best Original Song, but its success didn't end there. The Les Miserables soundtrack also made its way to the top of Billboard.com's 200 Chart, which credits the best-selling albums of the week across all musical genres.
The Les Miserables soundtrack moved up from second place and has only been on the chart for three weeks. According to Nielsen SoundScan (via the Los Angeles Times), the sountrack got to No. 1 this week with about 92,000 copies of it sold.
