HOLLAND (WHTC) - The man known as the “Vicar of Baghdad” will be the keynote speaker at a Hope College forum Friday night. The Rev. Canon Andrew White, who is chaplain of St. George’s Anglican Church in Baghdad, will speak as part of the college’s Veritas Forum at 7 p.m. at Dimnent Memorial Chapel. White’s church is located just outside the Green Zone that you often heard about doing the Iraq War, and is the only Anglican church still left in Iraq. He has been active in reconciliation efforts between Shia and Sunni leaders in Iraq. White will also speak at the college’s chapel service at 10:30 Friday morning at Dimnent.
