HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A proposed 68-unit housing development on land that was part of the former Holland Country Club was tabled by the city’s Planning Commission yesterday, as members want city staffers to get more information about whether Covenant Development’s plans fit with the municipal master plan for the area. The proposal would include duplexes and multi-unit buildings, with a single entrance off of Country Club Drive. Most of the rest of the land is being redeveloped by the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Department into a new county park; the country club dissolved four years ago due to bankruptcy stemming from a bank loan default. The matter is expected to be brought back for discussion as early as next month's Planning Commission meeting.
