LANSING, MI (WHTC) - Plainwell Community Schools officials say that plans to issue around 9.6 million dollars in bonds for construction in the district will move forward after a ruling yesterday in Ingham County Circuit Court. The state Treasury Department had blocked the bonds as part of an effort in Lansing to reduce reliance on the state’s school bond loan fund, and wanted Plainwell to raise its millage rate before any approval. No word on a possible appeal by the Treasury Department.
