ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - The Mead Johnson baby formula plant in Zeeland was evacuated for about three hours on Friday after a welder’s torch apparently ignited a fire on roofing insulation at the Main Street facility. Crews from three departments contained the flames, and there were no injuries of firefighters or employees reported. Operations at the plant resumed shortly thereafter. No dollar amount of damage was immediately determined.
