MACKINAC (WKZO) -- Authorities have called off the search for a woman who jumped from the Mackinac Bridge on New Year's Eve.

Authorities received a report Monday afternoon about a woman who jumped from the east side of the bridge, and Michigan State Police troopers found a vehicle abandoned in the area.  The U.S. Coast Guard searched with a helicopter and an ice breaker for nearly four hours, but suspended the effort when they found no sign of the unidentified woman.

Officials say there was a low probability for survival as water temperatures on Monday were in the low 30s.
