GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - A 67-year-old man, already serving time on state embezzlement charges for bilking mutual fund clients in Grand Rapids and Holland out of around 700 grand over a 12-year period, got another four and a half years tacked on to his incarceration. Lawrence McCoy was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty to federal wire fraud charges in a deal with prosecutors. He allegedly used the money to build a house for his ex-wife in Holland.
