HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - One-time Holland Mayor and Allegan County Commissioner Bill Sikkel died yesterday at the age of 92. The World War Two veteran was a real estate agent and a military reservist before spending two terms guiding the Tulip City through 1987. He then returned to politics with a decade of service representing Holland on the Allegan County Board before retiring in 2004. His funeral is on Monday at 11 AM in Faith CRC in Holland.
