GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Grand Haven Public Safety officials say that a bomb threat yesterday morning forced the evacuation of Jeanne’s Cafè and the blocking off of adjoining Robbins Road from Ferry Street to US-31 for about an hour and a half. A phone-in threat to the eatery, saying that there was a bomb inside, led to the call for help. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit assisted officers in searching for explosives, but none was found. No cause for why the threat was made was given, and no suspects have been arrested. Management of the café didn’t comment immediately on the matter, and Public Safety continues to investigate the incident.
