KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The operators of the Park Street Market have signed a new long-term Lease with the Northside Association for Community Development to continue operating a Grocery Store on North Park.

The Shina Group, which also runs 14-urban grocery stores in the Detroit area say they have a mom and pop business model that works in urban settings.

NACD Director Mattie Jordan-Woods has nothing but praise for the operation, saying its clean and well-stocked and she praised the generosity and friendliness of its staff, half of whom live on the Northside.

They took over the location in 2010 after Felpauch moved out in 2009. The exact details of the contract were not released
