LANSING (WKZO) -- In less than 30 days, Michigan will become a right-to-work state, something that had been virtually unthinkable in the state that gave birth to the modern labor movement even five years ago.
State Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood has launched the website RepealRTW.com, seeking online petition signatures. He has also introduced a pair of bills in the state Senate, where Republicans hold a huge majority, to toss out the new laws.
Democrats and union leaders blasted the way majority Republicans passed the legislation through the House and Senate in December, holding no committee hearings and taking no testimony on the bills.
