UNDATED (WHTC) - It was almost a complete upheaval of Michigan’s political party leadership in statewide conventions held this past Saturday. Mark Brewer saw the proverbial handwriting on the wall in Detroit and bowed out as Democratic Party Chairman in favor of Lon Johnson, who says job one is to find candidates at all levels, and that he wants to reclaim Michigan as a Democratic state.
Kyle Mellin of MIRS was among a number of observers who were surprised that Governor Snyder made an appearance at the Republican Convention in Lansing. The Ann Arbor venture capitalist successfuly got Bobby Schostak reelected as GOP Chair, despite efforts from the TEA party faction to oust him,
Johnson and Schostak are expected to be the lead attack dogs on the other party over the next couple of years. Both Johns and Mellin made their remarks in separate appearances this morning on the Michael Patrick Shiels program heard along the Lakeshore on 92.7 The Van.
