HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Holland Public Safety on Saturday continued to ask for the public’s help in locating Emelene VanDyke. The 36-year-old Holland woman hasn’t been seen since 6 PM on Valentine’s Day, when she left for an apparent retreat in the Traverse City area. VanDyke had reportedly purchased a new car from a local dealer and taken what was only described as a “significant” amount of money from her bank. Surveillance video showed her alone and apparently not under any duress during her transaction. Her cell phone and debit card hasn’t been used since February 14th.
On Saturday, Holland Public Safety Police Captain Jack Dykstra said that there were no fresh leads in the case, but investigators have determined that VanDyke had spent a "significant" amount of time at the Gun Lake Casino in Bradley prior to her disappearance, and that no personal belongings had been taken by her before she left for her retreat.
VanDyke is described as 5-7, about 200 pounds, with sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes. She had just purchased a grey, four-door 2013 Hyundai Accent with Michigan License Plate CGE 8162.
