DETROIT (WKZO) -- A top administrator in the Detroit Public Library has been fired in the wake of an FBI investigation.

Chief Administrative Officer Tim Cromer was placed on paid leave in November when federal authorities raided his office in Detroit and his West Bloomfield Township home.

Members of the library board would not comment on Cromer's dismissal due to the ongoing investigation.

The FBI probe is reportedly focusing on two contractors that were awarded a total of five-million dollars for technology work according to the "Detroit News".

Cromer has not commented on the investigation or his firing.
