VAN BUREN, MO (WHTC) - Police in Van Buren, Missouri used bloodhounds yesterday to look for clues into the whereabouts of Fred Byrne, the 49-year-old Big Rapids attorney who has been missing since last Tuesday, when he dropped off his son at Hope College, where he is attending classes, and visited his ex-wife, his son’s mother, in Holland. Byrne’s car and wallet were found in a national forest about 146 miles south of St. Louis last Thursday, and three days of searching have found no trace of the 6-3, 290-pound man with blonde hair and blue eyes. Tips to 911 that will be forwarded to the Big Rapids Police Department are welcome.
