COVERT TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- They have shut down the Palisades nuclear plant again for repairs.
They call it a pro-active and conservative decision following several days of trouble-shooting the plants component cooling water heat exchanger.
The plant went off the grid just before 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. While its out of service, they also plan to do some work on the main generator disconnect switch.
Once they have tracked down and fixed the problems, they will bring it back on line, but they did not release an estimate of when that might happen.
