HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Operations at Holland’s Heinz pickle plant are not expected to change immediately after the parent company was sold yesterday to 3G Capital, along with Berkshire Hathaway, a conglomerate owned by billionaire Warren Buffett, for 23.3 billion dollars. Heinz had begun a 2.95 million-dollar investment in the 16th Street facility 18 months ago for facilitating a production expansion of various products. The Holland plant, operated by Heinz for 116 years, has around 300 full-time workers, with another 100 seasonal employees.
