HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Yesterday, the Holland Board of Public Works board endorsed a nearly 344 thousand-dollar agreement with Alcatel-Lucent to upgrade the utility’s Ethernet. Officials say that the 21-year-old fiber optic system needs replacing to facilitate needed improvements. Contracts totaling over 200 thousand dollars for upgrading several sewer lift stations and for refrigerator pickup and recycling were also sent to City Council for final approval.
