ST. CLAIR SHORES (WKZO) -- St. Clair Shores city officials have scrapped a proposed rat bounty plan.

Officials announced the cancellation of the plan on the city's Facebook page on Thursday.  Under the proposal the city would have paid a five-dollar bounty for every rat caught by a resident.

Officials say the plan was scrapped following an overwhelmingly negative response from citizens.
