Grand Valley State’s basketball teams swept their games at Northern Michigan last night. In the opener, Ricardo Carbajal tallied 15 points as the men were victorious, 64-56. The women did slightly better in the nightcap with a 67-56 score, thanks in part to 15 points from Briauna Taylor. Both Lakers teams are in Houghton to face Michigan Tech tomorrow afternoon.
State major college basketball last night saw Detroit win at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 82-74, and Oakland defeat visiting North Dakota State, 66-63.
