HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Members of Holland’s Human Relations Commission were told by City Manager Ryan Cotton last night that he wants the responsibilities of the Human Relations Coordinator position to be shared in part among other staff members, and that a new leader would be a part-time hire that would split time with the city’s International Relations Commission. Al Serrano retired last week after 27 years at the post. Cotton explained that the move would add flexibility to the staff while cutting costs. The city manager will propose this move to Council later this month, with a final vote on the matter expected in early March.
