DETROIT (WHTC) - The state Judicial Tenure Commission’s opinion isn’t expected until next month after a hearing yesterday on a misconduct complaint against Hudsonville District Court Judge Kenneth Post. He is accused of exceeding his authority in how he jailed an attorney on contempt charges for advising a client not to answer a question from the bench. The director of the commission argued that Post should be suspended without pay for 90 days; Post’s attorney countered that the negative publicity surrounding the case should be enough punishment for his client, who has since apologized for his actions. The State Supreme Court will have the final decision on any sanctions against Post.
