HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Friends and relatives will remember one-time Holland Mayor LW “Bill” Lamb during a memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday at Hope Church. He died at the age of 88 at Hospice House of Holland on Tuesday. Mr. Lamb served one four-year term on city council before a one-term stint as mayor during his municipal service from 1967 through 1973. City historians credit him with devising the downtown one-way street system that helped develop the 8th Street corridor into a leading local shopping district. Mr. Lamb will be interred at Pilgrim Home Cemetery. He follows into death another former Mayor, Bill Sikkel, who passed on January 4th.
