HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The two-day budget retreat with members of the Holland City Council and top city department leaders concludes at City Hall on Saturday. City Manager Ryan Cotton is asking council members to each prepare for discussion their top five issues that need to be addressed in the coming months. He’s looking for guidance as he and his fellow staffers draw up a proposed 2014 municipal budget that will be formally discussed in April before a May vote. Cotton will also highlight some of the numerous 10-year trend graphs of various benchmark items involving the city during Saturday’s session. It’s his first retreat as Holland City Manager.
