UNDATED (WHTC) -- A car dealer in Coopersville reported that tires and rims were removed from several vehicles on their lot on Sunday. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department’s Lieutenant Mark Bennett says the items were taken from the Betten-Baker dealership located on O’Malley Drive, near the intersection of I-96 and 68th Avenue. Tires and rims were removed from Chevy Tahoes are are valued in excess of 14-thousand dollars.
Detectives are looking for a full size 2-door pickup with an open bed that was seen in the area around the dealership at about 9:30 P.M. Sunday night. They have also contacted other law enforcement agencies that may have had similar incidents. The theft remains under investigation.
