UNDATED (WHTC) -- An arrest has been made in an attempted bank robbery last Friday. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that bank staff at the PNC Bank in Martin had seen the suspect a few days earlier and noted that he was acting in a suspicious matter. When the suspect returned on Friday, the Bank Manager locked the door as the suspect was approaching. Central Dispatch was contacted and a suspect and a vehicle description were radioed to Law Enforcement. A Plainwell Public Safety Officer saw the vehicle, stopped it and found the suspect in possession of a concealed handgun. The Sheriff’s Office say Dennis Carl Love, a 59-year-old man from South Bend, Indiana, has been determined to be involved in several other bank robberies in Indiana and Michigan. Love was arraigned this afternoon in the 57th District Court in Allegan on two counts of attempted bank robbery, two counts of felony firearm and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
