HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Hope you enjoyed the warmer temperature and the sunshine on Saturday. We’ll be headed downhill to the deep freeze later this afternoon with temperatures falling from an early morning high of 38 degrees to the low 20s by sunset. The chance of snow is on the increase and Lakeshore counties will see another inch or two of snow on the ground by morning. Falling temperatures will also increase travel risks with icy patches due to puddles freezing. MDOT reminds motorists to follow Michigan's Basic Speed Law, which requires them to drive at a "careful and prudent" speed in all conditions and which allows them to be able to stop within the clear distance ahead. In winter, it may mean driving slower than the posted speed limit.
