HOLLAND (WHTC) - Now that Christmas is over, the inevitable question is what to do with that Christmas tree. Most local communities are offering the opportunity to recycle your tree over the next several weeks. In the city of Holland, if you’re part of the curbside refuse and recycling program, you can simply leave your tree at the curbside on same day as your trash pickup through January 10. Make you remove all decorations and lights beforehand. If you don’t have curbside recycling, you can bring your tree to the Bouws Pool parking lot at 16th Street and Fairbanks through January 24. If you live in either Park Township or Holland Township, you can bring your tree to Quincy Street Park through January 31. The drop-off location there is open dawn to dusk. In Zeeland, you can bring your Christmas tree to the Riley Street brush drop-off facility between Centennial and Fairview from 8 a.m. to noon today, as well as each of the next two Saturdays. Make sure you bring proof of residency, the site will be manned.
