UNDATED (WHTC) -- Authorities in eastern Ottawa County are investigating an early-morning fire that heavily damaged a home in Tallmadge Township. Firefighters were called to the home in the 37-hundred block of Johnson Street shortly after midnight. Units from Coopersville, Conklin, Crockery and Marne fire departments responded to the call and were there until about 4 a.m. Mlive reports that the man who lived in the house came home about midnight, opened his door and found a house full of smoke. He received minor injuries after falling through the floor but got out safely.
