UNDATED (WHTC) -- After a lot of hard work in bad weather conditions, Consumers Energy utility crews have made quite a bit of progress. As of late Thursday afternoon across the listening area, electricity has been restored to all but about 450 customers in Kent County. Some nine thousand Barry County customers are still waiting and at the moment, Consumers Energy says most, if not all should have their power back by Saturday. Consumers Energy customers who have been without power for five days can apply for a $25 credit. The Michigan Public Service Commission requires the credit according to the rules of the Service Quality and Reliability Standards.
