UNDATED (WHTC) -- It has begun. Gas prices for regular gasoline are going up for the end of the year by more than 30 cents. The low price in the city of Holland this morning was $3.12. As of one this afternoon, stations on the west side of town are already raising their prices to $3.49 per gallon. GasBuddy’s senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says a combination or problems is driving the price spike. Recent refinery mishaps and the fact that the price of a barrel of crude oil has risen to almost $100 will contribute to the higher cost. DeHaan also says prices will probably go back down as they’ve been bouncing all over the palace since mid-September.
