More than Eight Thousand Local Consumer Energy Customers Without Power

UNDATED (WHTC) -- More than 155-thousand Consumer Energy customers were without power this morning across the state of Michigan.  Locally, a bit more than 13-hundred people were without power in Ottawa County.  Some 47-hundred Allegan county residents woke up this morning with no electricity.  In Kent County, power outages were more widespread without almost 22-thousand people without power.  Consumer Energy warns people to stay at least 25 feet away from downed power lines and to call them at 800-477-5050 or call local law enforcement.  If you do have to travel today be alert for utility crews working to repair the power outages.
