OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- Four road and bridge improvement projects in Ottawa County will go forward thanks, in part, to money set aside by the Michigan Legislature through the Roads and Risk Reserve Fund. MDOT representatives met with local legislators, State Representatives Amanda Price, Roger Victory and Joe Haveman this morning to make the announcement. Ottawa County will receive more than 4.6-million dollars in special state funding grants. Joe Haveman says everyone in the state will benefit and it's somethng we should be proud of. Amanda Price said some of the money will be used to remove and replace pavement on Washington Avenue in Zeeland between Fairview Road and Arbor Lane. The Legislature created the special fund using 230-million dollars in existing state revenue.
