LANSING (WKZO) -- The state's unemployment rate is dropping.
November's jobless rate dipped from nine-percent to 8.8-percent. It's the first time since August that there's been a drop in the monthly unemployment rate for the state. The national average is seven-percent.
Michael Williams with the Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives syays job growth has been strong over the past year. Williams added that the manufacturing and IT sectors have been hiring lots of new workers.
