HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Hope College is being recognized for another of their sports facilities. The American Sports Builders Association has chosen the Vande Poel-Heeringa Stadium Courts as Outdoor Tennis Court of the Year. It was selected from 14 tennis facilities in the United States. The stadium features elevated seating for spectators and was made possible, in part, by generous gifts from the families of former Hope doubles partners Earle Vande Poel and George Heeringa. Ray & Sue Smith Stadium was recognized earlier this year by the same organization as one of 15 Distinguished Single Field Facilities.
