Aquinas College Professor: Mega Millions not worth risk

GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot is going to be at least 586-million dollars, but no one has matched all the numbers since lottery officials changed the rules of the game this fall.  According to Aquinas College math professor Michael McDaniel, those changes stacked the odds against players.

McDaniel notes one way to win is to buy 259-million tickets of every possible combination.  He adds, however, that if someone else also has all the numbers you're going to lose money if there was any way to get your hands on 259-million to place that many bets in the first place.
