UNDATED (WHTC) -- The wife of the man accused of killing Michigan State Trooper Paul Butterfield was sentenced Tuesday. Sara Knysz, now nine-months pregnant, told the court that in order to protect herself and her baby, she helped her husband Eric Knysz escape after he shot the officer. Knysz says her husband was controlling and abusive. She was given a sentence of two to five-years in prison for being an accessory after the fact to a felony and vehicle theft. Knysz pled guilty to the charges last month and agreed to testify against her husband.
