ALBION, MI (WHTC) - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, which includes Hope College among its membership, announced that David Neilson will retire after 12 years as its Commissioner when the 2014 academic year ends in June. Neilson is the eighth league boss and third-longest-serving MIAA head in its 126-year history, and led the conference to various improvements in student-athlete academics and well-being during his tenure. The conference has begun a search for Neilson's replacement.
