GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Auto insurance rates continue to go higher in Michigan.

State Senator Rick Jones of Grand Ledge represents several West Michigan counties and wants a change made to cap the amount of money someone permanently injured in a crash can collect.  The former Eaton County Sheriff says lawmakers are debating several proposals to help lower rates.

Reforming the state's unique no-fault auto insurance system has been debated in Lansing for years without any results yet.
